Can ‘Directions’ be new habits?

Some clients ask, “By learning the AT, will I be able to use my body better even unconsciously?” So, they are asking whether ‘Directions’ in the AT lesson can be new habits or not.

To this, I respond as follows:
“It’s possible that you may sometimes act advantageously without conscious effort. However, if you try to turn everything into an unconscious habit, you may stop evaluating your actions and might not notice when you’ve returned to a less favorable state. The ideal is to make it a habit to notice your state. In other words, to be in a condition where you occasionally and AUTOMATICALLY become aware of yourself.”

By learning the AT, We at least develop the habit of noticing our own state, which is a healthy thing. So, in terms of “creating new habits,” it perhaps fits within ‘Awareness’ rather than within ‘Direction’.

I see ‘Direction’ as ‘Intention’, and that seems difficult to reconcile with habits (which are unconscious actions).

I checked the definition of ‘habit’ to Chat GPT:
-A regular practice or routine: A behavior that is performed regularly, often without thinking, as it has become automatic over time.
-An acquired behavior pattern: It develops through frequent repetition and becomes hard to give up or change.

See?

Awareness –> We can make it a habit.
Direction –> It could become a habit, but let it remain under conscious control so we can avoid it becoming completely unconscious.

This is my opinion.
